Benjamin serves as AINS’ Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel. Prior to joining AINS, Benjamin worked for ten years in public and private practice as a civil and criminal defense attorney representing both individual and corporate clients in a wide variety of practice areas, including employment matters, contract negotiation and dispute resolution, regulatory and statutory compliance and whistleblowing, civil rights, and criminal prosecutions. Benjamin has substantial experience counseling clients and negotiating on their behalf. He has litigated numerous cases in state and federal courts, trial and appellate, and represented clients before various regulatory bodies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Benjamin received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the New York State Bar and is also admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
